Hello..........It's been a long time. It's not that I haven't had anything to blog about, but truth is, I was in a funk. We are getting ready to have to make some serious decisions regarding Mark's education. I'm nervous and scared all at the same time. I've shared in the past how Mark struggles in school. After two years of tears and begging, we finally were able to get him an IEP (Individual Education Plan). If you don't know what that is, basically, it means that he has a learning disability and therefore, he is entitled to an aid that sits with him in Math & Reading, extra time on tests and when it comes time for the dreaded FCATs, he can be moved from the classroom into a much smaller room with less distractions. He is basically playing "catch up" and learning new stuff at the same time. It's hard for him. Then to top it off, they want to put next year's 5th graders at the middle school because of lack of classrooms. Everything is so up in the air. All I know is that I don't want my 10 year old going to the middle school with kids with whiskers and a campus that has a cop on the grounds at all times. They are 10 and 11 years old! We've been "assured" by the district that they will not come in any contact with the older kids. Basically, they will be, in my opinion, "prisoners" in one hallway. They've waited all their years in the elementary school to be "the big kids on campus". They are going to take that feeling/experience away. We are 99% positive that we are going to pull him from that situation and change schools. The other BIG decision we have to make is whether or not to have him repeat the 4th grade. I'm in tears over it and it's something that I do not want to do but we are feeling that it may be best for him. So, we are in the process of "school shopping" to help get him get a fresh start. Lots of BIG decisions to make in the next several months. So, if I am MIA, that's the reason why.

I got invited to join a scrapbook group with the teachers from Mark's school. I'm having a blast. We get together once a month. I wasn't sure at first about going because I was a "mom" and they were "teachers". But its worked out. There is no talk about school, no gossiping.....just a lot of fun. Let me tell you, there is some serious talent among these ladies. They have been so motivating. I really needed this and the timing was perfect.

About two and half months until Greg graduates. Wow. Can't believe it. Only one more month until he turns 18! Emily will be 16 next month too. My babies are all growing up. Time flies. Right now he is enjoying his senior year. He just got his ticket to Grad bash. Usually it is held at Walt Disney World but this year, they are having it at Universal Studios. That's one of the neat things about living in Florida. So much to do.

Liz will be home next month already. This year has gone so fast. Hard to believe she is halfway through college. She's a staff writer on "The Independent Florida Alligator". The univerisity's newspaper. So proud of that girl.

I finally got my AVON business going. Please think of me if you are interested in purchasing any Avon. I do love their products and they are so economical. I love, love, love their jewelry. I have an online store. You can order from my store and have it shipped directly to you (very cheap and sometimes free shipping). If you want me to send you a catalog, let me know. I will get that in the mail ASAP to you. My website is www.youravon.com/kbehrman

Well, that's pretty much basically what I've been up to. I'm so motivated to clean up/out and organize my scrapbook room. So, that being said, I'm going to log off here and get a move on. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend and an even better week.

Hey there,
sounds like you're keeping busy! And that scrapbook group sounds great! Sometimes that's what we need to get us rolling again! How's the organizing going?
