TGIF!!!! The weekend is almost here. Finally. Although I can't really complain. The week FLEW by. Seems like the older I get, the faster they go. Looking back, it wasn't such a bad week. I'm just glad it's Friday! Prom is tomorrow. I think I am more excited about it than Greg. All that's left to do is pick up the corsage tomorrow at noon. I broke down and took my camera card to Walgreens and just put all the pictures on a CD. That's how far behind I am on my pictures. I figured it would easier to just transfer them and look at them later and start with a fresh card with all the events coming up. It would just take me too long to upload them to my computer. I am looking forward to having things calm down after school is out.

I got a story to share. When I was growing up I loved the show Emergency. Oh I loved that Johnny Gage. I was going to grow up and marry him you know (hey I was 7 years old). We all had someone like that didn't we? Please say yes and that I am not the only one. :) Anyway, I was thrilled when our cable company aired a channel called Retro TV. It shows a lot of the shows that I loved watching growing up (Battlestar Gallactica, Black Sheep Squadron, A Team, Rockford Files, Buck Rogers, Magnum just to name a few). But best of all, it shows Emergency. Every night at 10 pm you can find me watching that show. I LOVE this show! Emily can't stand when I watch it. Yet she has never sat down and watched a whole episode. Greg on the other hand watched it with me the other night. He even had to wait till it was over to get ready to go bed. That's my boy! Anyway, Emily sat and watched it with me for the first time too. There was lots of "this is lame" and eye rolling. Finally, she says "that John guy looks like dad". What???? I never thought that but hey.....I didn't marry Johnny Gage but I married someone who looks like him according to her. So my dream did come true.

Not much else going on. I'm finishing up getting Greg's announcements done. So time consuming. I guess I could print everyone's address on the computer and print labels but to me that takes the "personal touch" out of it. I try and do a couple a day and I hope to have them all ready to mail tomorrow. I can hope.

Liz had her first story published in the newspaper she's interning for. So cool. I will try and post the link to the story in my next post. So proud of her.

Well, time to get off here because it's time to go and start rounding up the troops. Space shuttle is going up at 2:20 today so I want to be one of the first in the car pool lane so I can get Mark and we can go and park somewhere to watch it go up. It's such a cool thing to watch. I'm sad that this is one of the last launches.

Have a great weekend!

OMG I forgot about emergency until this post and I'm sure I was in love with him too. Isn't it funny how the kids see stuff that we don't even notice... Congrats to Liz on her publication and internship. Chels is interning also and loving it, plus working her other job to save some funds for next year!

Hi Kim! I wanted to say hello, and to thank you for all of the comments you have left on my blog over the past few years. I was reminiscing today, reading through my past posts, and realized how often you left me comments. I just wanted to say that your supportive and sweet words during my pregnancy and the early months of motherhood were so helpful and uplifting, and definitely didn't go unnoticed. Hard to believe my boys are now 2 years old! Thanks again and I hope you are having a great day!
